Developmental Optometrist

On Thursday Emily and I went to see a Developmental Optometrist. He has been using prism lenses to improve gait and muscle tone in stroke survivors. He was very impressed with Emily’s current ability to use her eye muscles, specifically her ability to converge. He noticed that when she looks up, her head control is much improved. We are going to try prism lenses to adjust her gaze and go for improved head and neck control and improved muscle tone. Very excited for this, especially since it means no extra “work” for Emily.

Update: we got the glasses and they absolutely help her keep her head straighter up on top!
